Biography

Saar Badishi (Hebrew: סער בדישי; born May 2, 1971, in Rehovot, Israel) is an Israeli singer, actor, and prolific voice actor of Yemenite-Jewish descent.

He first gained fame in the early 1990s as a teen heartthrob, playing the character Saar in the popular youth drama series Inyan Shel Zman (A Matter of Time, 1993–1996). He also starred in the musical telenovela Ha-Shir Shelanu (Our Song, 2004–2005) as Doron Sade and appeared in films such as Forever Young (1996) and Game Over (1996).

As a singer, he released his debut album Meshicha Magnetit (Magnetic Attraction) in 1994–1995 on Hed Arzi, writing and composing most of the tracks. His song “Ani Me’abed Otach” later gained renewed attention when covered by Jacko Eisenberg on Kokhav Nolad.

Badishi is especially well-known as a voice actor. Since the late 1990s he has been the longtime Hebrew voice of Winnie the Pooh (taking over after Yuval Zamir) and has voiced hundreds of characters, including Bugs Bunny, Raphael (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and many roles in Ben 10, Total Drama, Turbo, and other animated series and films.
