Nikos Kavoukidis (Greek: Νίκος Καβουκίδης) was born in Piraeus and from a very young age he was taught the secrets of the 7th art by his father, who was a loyal friend, partner and supporter of Philopoimenas Finos - since thanks to his own financing Finos Film's first film "Voice of the Heart" was shot . Alongside his films, from 1957 onwards, he recorded with his lens every political event in Greece, culminating in the events of the Polytechnic, from which he directed the documentary film "Evidence" (1974), which was distinguished in many foreign festival. Among the last great filmmakers, Nikos Kavoukidis, son of the pioneering filmmaker Giorgos Kavoukidis, has today to present a historical course of more than half a century in Greek cinema.
