Sensei, Would You Sit Beside Me? explores marital betrayal through a quiet yet piercing narrative where Sawako confronts her husband’s infidelity using the manga she creates as a psychological mirror. The film delivers tension through subtle acting, layered symbolism, and an ambiguity that blurs imagination with reality, allowing emotions like guilt, jealousy, and regret to unfold slowly but powerfully. Ultimately, it becomes a story of a woman reclaiming her dignity with calm precision—showing that silence can cut deeper than anger.
