Firecracker explores LGBT themes through a subtle, emotionally driven narrative focused on internal conflict rather than overt romance. With a minimal setting and just two main characters, the film effectively portrays Annie’s emotional turmoil as she struggles between love and familial acceptance. The storytelling is simple yet impactful, with strong visual and audio choices enhancing key moments. Though the chemistry could be deeper, the performances remain natural and heartfelt. Overall, it’s a quietly powerful film that delivers its message with restraint and sincerity.
